A shout out to our wonderful casting director, Erica Silverman, who won a Heller Awards from the Talent Managers Association (TMA) Board of Directors at the 2009 Heller Award Ceremony for Outstanding Talent Agents on October 20, 2009. The event celebrates the people responsible for building actors’ careers and recognized their outstanding achievements and contributions to the entertainment industry.
Erica Silverman helped weed through hundreds of child actors, holding many casting calls and dealing with a lot of parents. She is single-handily responsible for finding our leads Jake Johnson and Madison Davenport, of which we owe the success of our entire film. We love you Erica and wish you many more successes.
Producer Erica Harrell and director Danny Daneau are interviewed by Bill Valentine with “The Rich Life,” a syndicated, Money Talk radio show broadcast live every Sunday 11am – 2pm (Pacific Time). The focus of the interview is on the business of independent filmmaking.
Questions include – How to start up a production company? Where to raise money? How to earn money back?

Congrats to our poster designer, Julie McLaughlin, who got 2 out of 2 Snails (yes that is good) on filmhype.net for her amazing poster design. We also got a warm review for our trailer which earned one snail and flattering remarks. We’ll take our snail with great pride.
Thanks filmhype for the support!

While in Oregon, Eric Ernst (writer) and Danny Daneau (director) spent a day at the beatiful Sisters High School to talk about THE ATTIC DOOR and answer questions about indie filmmaking. The local paper for Sisters, Oregon has published a closing article about the festival and has featured our film once again. Thank you Jeff Spry for writing the article and being such a driving force of support while we were in town.

Sisters, Oregon is a charming little town built in the middle of Deschutes National Forest. It’s only a 20min drive from our host town of Bend and is this year part of the film festival. We are very excited today to be screening at 3pm at the Sisters Movie House, a small five screen venue built as an old barn with state-of-the-art picture and sound. The local paper wrote a wonderful interview that is really helping set some great buzz in town.
