If you’ve followed along the blog you’ve noticed as we started preproduction almost two years ago a lot has changed and been shaken up in the current independent film world. We’ve tried to document a lot of these changes as we observed them. Here are some of the many examples:

    • In our own way, the blog was a way for us to try and make sense of it all. We looked at these stories and saw what was happening and wondered, with fear, where our film will live once it’s complete.

    Nine days ago, at the Film Independent’s Filmmaker Forum in Los Angeles, Ted Hope gave an inspiring keynote on the future of independent filmmaking. The message is entitled, “A THOUSAND PHOENIX RISING: How The New Truly Free Filmmaking Community Will Rise From Indie’s Ashes.” Indie filmmakers, desperate for hope, heard is call and helped carry his message all over the web. Now Ted has a blog dedicated to the creation of a truly free filmmaking community. Check it out.
